Silkroad Bathroom Vanities stone countertops

Travertine Bath vanity countertops: Travertine also began as limestone, which over time - through geological shifting - found its way deep in the earth. The porous nature of limestone derives from small bodies of standing water and rock called Aquifers. This is the water of ice age melting, which sank below and was absorbed by layers of limestone. Because of the earth’s hot inner core, the water rises as steam and hot pressurized water that forms hot mud baths. This rising hot water dissolves the limestone and brings with it a small particle from below, forming mud beds on or near the surface. If enough time passes and the mud beds cool, they will crystallize into a solid stone call travertine. Travertine is formed with a low density and pores.

Cream Marfil Bathroom vanities Countertops: Cream Marfil stone is a type of marble. Marble is a limestone or dolomite that has crystallized naturally over a long period of time by heat and pressure in the earth's crust. These forces cause the limestone to change in texture and makeup. This process is called recrystallization. Limestone is made up of shells and bones of sea creatures that fell to the sea floor millions of years ago. The calcium in the bones & shells combines with the carbon dioxide in water to form calcium carbonate. The fossilized materials in the limestone, along with its original carbonate minerals, recrystallize and form large, coarse grains of calcite, which forms the basic mineral structure of all limestone and marble. Cream Marfil Marble is formed with a medium density and pores.

Onyx Bathroom Vanity Countertops: Onyx is generally formed from layered deposits in warm springs and limestone caves. While water flows on existing limestone it dissolves minerals and carries the very grainy and finely structured minerals for re-deposits. These re-deposited crystals are fused together over millions of years to form translucent layers which in turn form the unique natural stone Onyx. Naturally beautiful translucence with lines of contrasting colors running throughout, define the unique color characteristics of the stone. Onyx consists of bands of chalcedony in alternating colors. It is cryptocrystalline, consisting of fine intergrowths of the silica minerals quartz and manganite. Its bands are parallel to one another, as opposed to the more chaotic banding that often occurs in agates.

Granite Vanity Countertops:  Granite began as liquid magma in the center of the earth. It is a different type of stone, called Igneous. The ingredients that make granite are minerals known as feldspar, quartz, and mica. The major mineral ingredient of granite is feldspar. Due to the extreme pressure within the earth and the absence of atmosphere, granite is formed with a high density and no pores.

In this industry it is our job to create an atmosphere that will enrich the lifestyle of our clients. Homeowners want to raise the value of their homes and set their homes apart from their neighbors. One of the most effective ways to achieve this is by remodeling the bathrooms in their house.
